I went to sleep just after midnight after fighting to stay awake to see what might happen in NY or in Boston at the Occupy activities. Seems Law and Order was shooting in a “Zucotti Park” set, and REAL Occupiers came and occupied the “fake occupy” camp. In Boston, they were told to leave by midnight. When I went to bed over an hour later, they were still out in masse
Yesterday, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino ordered protesters out of Dewey Square by 12:00am or risk arrest. In a show of solidarity with Occupy Boston and the ideas represents, thousands of people poured into the park to give the mayor a message: You can’t evict an idea whose time has come. With an overwhelming show of support, the city made the decision to not act on immediate eviction, and the camp remains standing.
