I’ll back down a bit on the Nobel now

by Theoblogical on October 10, 2009

Steve Manskar posted this on this Facebook profile,  and it is a really good history lesson on the Nobel prize from Rachel Maddow.  It somewhat reduces the dismay I felt yesterday at the news that Obama had won it.  I did not realize how many of the previous winners had NOT YET achieved what they were fighting for.  Often,  the prize was a MOMENTUM builder;  and encouragement,  a vote of confidence.  OK.  I can go with that.

And I am with Rachel on the “Derangement Syndrome”.  Nasty stuff.
