IE browsing problem fixed (I think)

THis past week,  my IE8 started having browsing problems.  FF and Chrome had no problems,  but IE would not go anywhere.  I went out and ran Windows update,  which ran a Vista update,  and now things seem to be OK.  I had read somewhere a few hours ago that people were experienced incomplete Windows updates.  I checked IE on my daughter’s computer (running XP),  and here was fine,  as was the one on my Netbook (running Windows 7).   So it was probably a Vista thing,  which the update fixed.
